Games fromthe static.

We are Glitch & Gloom Studios, an independent studio in Surulere, Lagos. We make games of every kind, scary, strange, funny or fast, with stories and style rooted in home.

Glitch & Gloom Studios logo: a silver GG emblem, its left half torn apart by glitch streaks.

What we make

Glitch meets gloom

Two halves, like the emblem: the playful, rule-breaking glitch, and the depth and atmosphere behind it. Every game we make leans one way or the other.

  • 01

    Every genre

We started with horror, but we're not a horror studio. Adventure, action, puzzles, comedy, sport: each idea gets the game it deserves.

  • 02

    Stories from home

Nigerian streets, schools, markets, myths and humour. Places and people we know, in games anyone, anywhere can pick up.

  • 03

    Style with an edge

A glitchy, lo-fi look that's ours, games that run on everyday PCs, and small projects finished properly.

Listen for the heels. Stay out of the dark. Whatever you do, do not look at her.

A first-person horror game set in an abandoned Nigerian boarding school, inspired by the West African urban legend of Madam Koi Koi.

  • The ground-floor hallway of Ikenga Memorial: cracked walls, one working tube light, doors on both sides.
  • A classroom with DON'T LOOK BACK chalked on the blackboard and the desks pushed aside.
  • The flashlight finds a blackboard that reads KOI KOI.
